So this is Josie Gee. She was the Mildmay Chums’ mascot in the late 1930s and 19040s. As a young woman she sang and danced at the club (in that great outfit!), along with her husband Roy and sister-in-law Maureen. Fast forward to November 2024 and Josie's daughter got in touch with us all the way from New Zealand. Josie had died some years before but her daughter came across this great photo in an old album and traced it back to us.
Immediately we saw it we thought Josie should be immortalised in a new Mildmay tee shirt! We got permission from the family and have made a very limited run of tee shirts - only 12 - these are vintage "heather grey" Gildan tees that were found recently in a warehouse. They date from the 1990s, so "neo vintage" if you want to use the correct term. Anyway, be quick! We think theses are superb!
